They are not very common around here either. This one lives on a farm not far from our house. They get out of the farm area and wander a neighborhood around it. People feed them so they keep coming back to the neighborhood. As beautiful as they are, I would think they would be a nuisance. They are extremely loud. One day when we stopped by to see if we could see them, a peacock saw his reflection in a car and was pecking at it. I tried to get him to move along, but he kept going back to the car.

Although I know of one resident in my suburb who keeps peacocks, it is not a bird that is likely to turn up at our spot! 🙂
