Oh how I love the coot! I first saw them on the Los Angeles River. Yes, there is a Los Angeles River, and if you know where to go, it’s quite lovely. There’s a park in fact nestled in a tiny neighborhood called Atwood. I’ve posted photos and video from there in the past. Maybe I will try to dig them up and re-post. My late wife worked for an agency called the Mountains and Recreation Conservation Authority (MRCA). It was one of their parcels of land. Their mission was to buy up as much land as possible in order to preserve and protect it. My Robin was a committed conservationist and worked in a place called Franklin Canyon Park. If you live in LA, you simply must check these parks out. Breath-taking.
God bless her! And God bless you as well! Thanks for swinging by. You are always most welcome, and I appreciate your feedback very much.

My daughter works for a Land Trust in Arkansas. They are doing the same thing, acquiring land for future generations to enjoy!
