I’m curious if anyone else feels like I do. Please respond by leaving comments below.
To begin with, I am a 65+ year old grandmother of twelve wonderful grandchildren. And yes, I definitely feel that my body is not exactly in the shape it was when I was a teenager. It’s harder to do things, and I get tired much easier than when I was younger. But that little feeling inside of me, you know the voice that some call your conscience, it still feels like I’m a teenager. Maybe that’s where the old saying about being young at heart came from?
My question is: Do you feel the same way or not? Will that part of me ever feel like I’ve grown up?

Ok, I think that answers my question.

I often think of my grandmother telling me that while her body was 88, her mind was 19.

That’s exactly how I feel. Thanks for your response.

Yes, I too feel about 30 in my mind, but am 63 chronologically. I donβt think Iβll ever totally grow up, even though I am physically getting older.

Oh yes, I still do feel young too. I’ll be 59 this year and have been chronically ill the last 30+ years. And no body doesn’t work like it did when I was young, but my mind is still young and hopeful…just like when I was a kid.

Same here! I’m 68, and sometimes feel like it, but mostly mentally I’m still my younger self.
Congratulations on your wonderful grandchildren! I only have two, but it’s so fun to get to play games with them. I think they help us stay in a younger frame of mind. π

I feel the same way; I still enjoy gaming on my PS4 and love watching cartoons. My wife is the same and hopefully, we will never grow up properly ππ€

I very much feel that way but I was fortunate in that when I could still move good(I too am over 65) I got into clowning and face painting so I still get to be silly and play with play with kids in a silly but fun way. It helps me keep young.
