This site focuses mainly on photography, but also discusses just about any topic.
Interesting that it looks like a robin, but might not be. 🙂

I hope to get back there next month. I will see if I can ask what he is. Thanks for your help.

I think it’s a a Trogon but I can establish which one.
The white narrows it down to about three species. I cannot get any closer than that, I’m afraid.
You’re more familiar with your photo (Do you have any more shots of this bird?,) and having seen the bird first hand you might be a better sleuth than me.
Let me know if you turn up anything, I’m interested to find out what it is.

Sorry no. It could even be from Australia. They have birds from all over the world and other animals too.

I’ll attack my bird books later on.
Can you recall where it is from?
Africa or South America?

My remark should read wrong. I did like autocorrect.

Definitely not American Robin. It is from somewhere else in the world. I just don’t happen to remember the name. Thanks for trying though. Have a great day!

I believe the bird is a toucan but the bill is long. It is not an American robin.

Looks like it might be an American Robin, but I wouldn’t put money on it!
